Form and function are both popular buzzwords in the design industry. While form deals with the general appearance and attractiveness of any given design, function refers to how well the product actually carries out its task.
In other words, while it's not enough that a product simply look good, it's also not sufficient that it merely function well. A truly outstanding product has both elements working in perfect harmony.
While it would be easy to brush these thoughts off as fussy, these are very real concerns. Designers, architects, and other members of the creative collective trace these considerations all the way back to the now-renowned Frank Lloyd Wright.
As a young architect Frank Lloyd Wright worked for Louis Sullivan (1856–1924) in his Chicago-based architecture firm. Sullivan is known for steel-frame constructions, considered some of the earliest skyscrapers. Sullivan's famous axiom, "form follows function," became the touchstone for many architects...Wright extended the teachings of his mentor by changing the phrase to "form and function are one." In the perfect union of form and function, products are both perfectly functional and aesthetically pleasing.
We are proud to count our aluminum checker plate corner guards in claiming such distinction. Once installed, not only do they protect your interior corners from incidental damage, but they also add an attractive flair of offset shine to whatever surfaces they're protecting. Whether added to drywall, brick, plastic, or another surface, they truly protect in style.
Here at Boss Corner Guards, we believe that form and function both matter. That's why we carry the attractive and sturdy aluminum checker plate corner guards, along with other guards in various sizes, styles, and thicknesses.
